Amnesty International needs people like you

The Riverdale/Cabbagetown chapter of Amnesty International is looking for new members. Come join us. We meet right here at St. Barnabas.

Group 164 (Riverdale/Cabbagetown) of Amnesty International meets at 7 PM on the first Tuesday of each month (except for July and August) in the reception room.

What do we do?

  • We sponsor presentations, such as a recent talk about rape and other human rights violations in Mexico.
  • We plan events, such as our annual auction for raising money for Amnesty.
  • We take part in human rights activities, such as the annual Cities for Life event to oppose capital punishment.
  • We write letters to prod authorities to release prisoners unjustly held and to bring to justice those who violate human rights.

Join us and help make the world a better place. For more information, contact Brian Deming, 647 342-0846, bdeming@sympatico.ca
