Rezonance Baroque EnsembleREZONANCE BAROQUE ENSEMBLE: LiftOff
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 29, 2017 at 2pm. Celebrating the "pop" of the Baroque: bass line jams support virtuosic variations and dazzling solos by Corelli, Biber, Byrd, and more! We’ll see how improvisation becomes composition, as composers choose a simple melody or bass line, improvise and compose variations, and take off from there…. Rezan Onen-Lapointe (baroque violin), David Podgorski (harpsichord), Rebecca Morton (baroque cello), and Benjamin Stein (theorbo).

HYMN SING AND ORGAN CONCERT
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 2017 - at 2pm at St Barnabas Church. Celebrating the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. Organist Lauma Akmene from Latvia and the Toronto Latvian Choristers will be leading the Hymn Singing. All are welcome. A freewill offering will be taken. Refreshments will follow the programme.

CONCERT: Prokofiev, de Falla, & Haydn
  • SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 26, 2017 at 2:00pm. Julia Kim (cello) and Konrad Harley (piano) will perform music by Prokofiev and Manuel de Falla. Julia Mirzoev (violin), Julia Kim (cello), and Jack Zhao (piano) will perform Haydn’s Piano Trio in C major, Hob.XV:27. Admission: $20 adults and $10 seniors/students.
REZONANCE BAROQUE ENSEMBLE: Versailles Confidential
Rezonance Baroque EnsembleSATURDAY, FEBRUARY 3, 2018 at 8pm. The sensational, candid, and acerbic letters of the Marquise de Sévigné were published shortly after her death and revealed a first-person account of 17th-Century France far more personal than the official history. We’ll open some of her mail with you - The life of a courtier in Louis XIV's Versailles, complete with its own soundtrack!
