Parish Administrator - Maria Ling
Jeanette LewisThe Reverend Jeanette Lewis

Jeanette was appointed Priest-in-Charge at St. Barnabas after serving as the Incumbent at St. Peter’s Carlton until it merged with St. Simon-the-Apostle. Prior to that she served Churches in Bobcaygeon Parish (a four-point parish in Trent Durham Area of the Diocese of Toronto); South Porcupine Parish (a four-point parish in Moosonee Diocese); and Geraldton Parish (a six-point parish in Moosonee).

Jeanette enjoys working with others to develop different ways of doing mission and outreach ministries as church and facing the challenges that today brings us. She enjoys the pastoral side of ordained ministry and networking in the community, both with other churches and local businesses.

Come and experience our welcoming church family, and please introduce yourself to us.

Matt Root is a postulant for ordination in the Diocese of Toronto. On Sunday, September 17 we will welcome Matt to St. Barnabas Church. We look forward to his time of learning and ministry with us. During his postulancy he is working full time for Public Health Ontario as an Issues Analyst. He has studied Theology and Linguistics and has a keen interest in art, architecture, literature, jazz, and Big Ideas. Matt has resided in Toronto for four years and has also spent time on the West Coast, the Prairies, and the Canadian North. Matt will be starting with us on Sunday Sept. 17th and staying until at least the end of the year. A small committee has been struck to support him however we invite all parishioners to spend some time and chat with Matt. As he is working full time he will only be available on weekends to take part in ministry however I know that you all have a lot that you can share with him to help him as he prepares for ordained ministry in the church.
